If you want the best piston possible to install in your bike, look no further than the VHM Billet Series, offered in flat top or 12 degree, comes with a pin bearing from either OEM, Pro-X, or Wossner depending on what is available.
The 12 degree pistons are manufactured from hammer forged aluminum, then machined out of a solid billet block of billet aluminum, and into their final dimension. They are the strongest piston made, detonation resilient, and proven to last longer than weaker cast pistons and forged series.
They are also elliptically machined on the exhaust port side, (hottest side of the piston), to account for heat and expansion, meaning it is intentionally made slightly oval, but when heated up to temp, holds a true roundness to the bore dimension resulting in superior performance and power.
The VHM 12 degree holds a special taper to the piston crown, (a small dome shape), resulting in increased port duration for the transfer ports fill time, and increased exhaust port duration to clear out the exhaust gasses.
The end result is more power, suited for a higher revving midrange to top end power increase.
